Janski Beeeats

Janski Beeeats

dj, producer

Here is the starting point of the epic carried out since 2007 by musician/illustrator Jansé. This native of Tours is both the mastermind behind the musical and visual universe of Janski Beeeats, … and the man behind the mask.

Jansé has developed a whole universe around a specific character: Janski Beeeats is an electrified manga figure, an electro hero with the look of a Mutafukaz mutant. Evolving in a world directly inspired by films like Judge Dredd, Blade Runner, Tron, and Total Recall, Janski performs music straight out of Jansé’s childhood memories: melodies from Atari video games, Xenon II, Mario, and Zelda, as well as the conquering accents of Ivanohé and Prohibition, …

Shaped like a comic and cartoon character, Janski also comes to life on stage. Armed with either a guitar or a synthesizer, he tweaks sounds, moves in every direction, and sports an apocalyptic face. Between chiptunes, synthesized melodies, and frantic beats, he turns the dance floor into a gigantic game of Space Invaders. After a mini tour in Japan and Europe, and notable performances opening for Ebony Bones, DJ Missill, Alex Gopher, and Naïve New Beaters, Janski Beeeats released his new EP titled Game Planet on September 27, 2010.

Named Electro Discovery at the 2010 Printemps de Bourges, he continues at the beginning of 2011 to carry his electrifying universe from concert to concert, while evolving it, through new compositions and characters, into a true manga saga.
